Full-time Driver and Security Needed for Family in NYC and Hamptons

This position is for a fulltime driver for a family based in New York City with a summer location in the Hamptons. Must be discreet, a polished professional, and maintain a low profile while around the family and any locations they attend.

Responsibilities include the following:

Driving the principles to and from school, work, meetings, airport, and appointments on a daily basis, while ensuring safety and security at all times;

Additionally, driver must be pet friendly;

Preparing the routing, directions, and additional due diligence in advance in order to ensure the most efficient time spent during transportation;

Communicating with all appropriate staff members, making sure all the needs of the principle are being met on an ever-changing calendar/schedule;

Maintaining the vehicles at all times, i.e. gas levels, cleanliness inside and out, and comfortability for all principles;

Be prepared to attend to any errands or requests at a moment’s notice, because of the principle’s ever-changing schedule and/or needs;

The ability to work in tandem or opposite of the other driver, making sure all the needs of the principle are met;

Must be a team player and work together for seamless shifts;

Must have knowledge of private flight operations and procedures;

Maintain communication with private flight crew for travel movements, locations, arrivals and departures.

Qualification/Requirements include the following:

Must have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in law enforcement and / or previous military, executive protection, corporate, or physical security experience;

Defensive and offensive driver training/certification or proficient experience in this area;

Must be able successfully to complete a criminal background check based on the principle’s expectations;
Must possess a valid, stellar current and past driving record, and successfully complete a driving record background check;

Must be able to speak fluent English;

Must be a citizen of the United States or legally able to be employed in the United States;

Must be discreet and professional at all times when around principle, family, and all staff members;

Must possess the ability to respond appropriately to, and mitigate, any threats or inconveniences that may occur;

Be prepared to remain and stand for long periods of time during a work shift;

Work closely with the other driver making sure all shifts and requests are covered. Shift times, days, and days off will be worked out amongst the two drivers to ensure no inconvenience to the principles;

Have been certified or certified in current standing procedures for CPR/AED/First Aid;

Have the uncanny ability and instincts to anticipate the principal’s needs and wants.

Salary and Benefits are as follows:

Yearly gross salary 120k (minimum) to 150k – negotiable.

Benefits include full medical, dental, vision, with a matching 401K.

Up to ten (10) vacation days within the first year; and five (5) sick days. Generous year-end discretionary bonus based on performance.
