Sean Carrington. \nHer son\, Sean Gerald Carrington\, was born October 7\, 1969\, and raised in New York City. Sean Carrington was appointed to the NYPD on February 20\, 1994\, and was promoted to Detective on September 25\, 1997. At the age of 28\, Det. Carrington was shot and killed in the line of duty on January 19\, 1998\, during a buy and bust operation in The Bronx\, leaving his mother and other family members devastated. \nJackye was a fixture for years at the various DEA events\, often accompanied by her granddaughter\, Sean’s daughter Niya\, and Niya’s mother Nicole Smith. \nJackye will be buried next to her son Sean at Mount Hope Cemetery\, Section 26\, in Hastings-On-Hudson\, New York. \nJackye and her son Sean will always remain in the hearts of the DEA membership.
