The DEA regrets to announce the passing of Retired Det. Second Grade James W. Liedy, who served the NYPD from 1968 to 1994. Among the notable aspects of Det. Liedy’s career, he transported P.O. Rocco Laurie to the hospital when Laurie was gunned down on January 27, 1972.
