The Silver Shield Foundation is holding its next Walk at Tod’s Point in Old Greenwich, CT on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
The Silver Shield Foundation provides educational support for the children and surviving spouses of first responders killed in the line of duty.
The 2022 Walk will commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the founding of The Silver Shield Foundation.
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. SSF’s Trustee, Chuck Scarborough, will be the MC for the opening ceremony at 9:00 a.m. They will be honoring Bristol Police Lt. Dustin DeMonte and Sgt. Alex Hamzy, along with all of our fallen heroes during the ceremony. Lt. DeMonte and Sgt. Hamzy were ambushed and killed in the line of duty on Oct. 12th. SSF has allocated scholarships for Lt. DeMonte’s two children and the child on the way.
