Contracted Security Company seeking retired law enforcement personnel with investigative background and above average computer proficiency for full-time employment as security analysts assigned to the 24/7 operation of the LIRR’s Regional Security Command Center. Scope of employment and responsible duties to include detecting, identifying, and coordinating with System Safety, Transportation, and the MTA Police/Interagency Counterterrorism Task Force (ICTF), as well as other law enforcement agencies on all security related emergency responses or threats that pertain to railroad properties and infrastructure, and to provide system-wide security that ensures the safety of LIRR employees, as well as a secure transportation environment to its paying customers. Security Analyst’s duties to include, but not limited to the monitoring and securing of surveillance video; alarm monitoring pertaining to intrusion, fire, and panic alerts; access control monitoring; coordination of the Incident Command Center; and the overseeing of all third party unarmed uniformed security guards posted at various locations throughout the railroad system.

 

Qualifications and requirements for employment to include prior law enforcement background, above average computer proficiency skills, above average report writing skills, and a current NY State Department of State Security Guard License. Counterterrorism training and Fire-Safety training a plus. Starting salary is $26.24 per hour. Full-Time employment is 32-40 hours per week. Currently looking to fill vacancies on the 2200 x 0600 shift. As we are a 24x7 operation, all prospective employees will be expected to work a portion of the weekend as well as any holidays that fall into their assigned schedule. Schedules are a) SUN thru WED and b) WED thru SAT.
