NYC ACS Seeks Retired Detectives

The New York City Administration for Children’s Services is currently seeking retired Detectives and Detective Supervisors for vacancies in the Agency’s Investigative Consultation Program.

 

Investigative consultants provide support to caseworkers who are investigating reports of suspected child abuse and neglect. They provide analysis on criminal history and domestic violence records, assist in locating children and families and may respond with caseworkers on investigations that are especially challenging. The candidate should include in the resume the time frames for each investigative command as well as a description of the type of investigative work performed at each of those commands (i.e., Homicide, Domestic Violence, Sex Crimes, Child Abuse, Missing Persons, Assault.)

Part-time surveillance and field investigative positions.

Prior surveillance experience an absolute must.

 

Armed Security – Part-time

The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, possess problem solving skills and be team oriented.

Candidate must be able to work independently, possess strong time management skills, and must have strong communication skills.

Flexible hours and flexibility to travel are a must, to include: weekday, weekend, and evening hours.

 

Investigator candidates must have the following:

A valid driver’s license.

Barlow Security Group is currently seeking retired MOS to fill positions in its investigative division. Qualified applicants will have prior law enforcement experience in an investigative capacity. A Private Investigators License is not needed for this position.  Duties performed will be to conduct canvasses, locate witnesses, assist in civil and criminal trial preparation, and other various investigative duties. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Investigations span the five boroughs of New York City. Qualified candidates can expect to be interviewed within two weeks.

Additionally, experience in conducting investigations in the health care arena (Medicaid or Medicare fraud, physicians, pharmacies, durable medical equipment dealers) will be given strong consideration.

 

Candidates must have a minimum of six (6) years of investigative experience working within an organization (public, private, municipal, and law enforcement) that focused on criminal, civil, medical, welfare and/or white-collar fraud matters.
