To the Members of the New York City Police Department,
I’m pleased to announce that three prominent health care entities have stepped forward to offer free coronavirus testing programs for the NYPD.
All told, there will now be 74 new locations available for our members of service who are symptomatic throughout New York City and the surrounding area. This comes at a crucial moment, as testing for the presence of Coronavirus is integral in our ongoing mission to protect the City we serve.
First, the New York City Police Foundation helped to facilitate free testing from Montefiore Health Systems as part of a generous offer made by Phil Ozuah, Montefiore’s CEO, who is a trustee of the Police Foundation. The other two entities, NorthWell Health and ProHealth, are waiving co-pays.
