The Emergency Medical Squad of the Police Relief Fund continues to provide quality medical services to active and retired MOS and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the highly contagious nature of this virus, the Medical Squad has deemed it necessary to modify some services.
Effective immediately, any person with a positive Coronavirus test or exposure to a person with a positive test, or suspected exposure to the virus, or persons exhibiting symptoms, must inform Medical Squad members when requesting services.
The Medical Squad ambulance remains unavailable to any person testing positive or exhibiting symptoms of the virus.
However, the Medical Squad will continue to offer a large variety of medical equipment, such as:
Oxygen*
Hospital beds*
Wheelchairs
Walkers
Commodes
Shower chairs
*Please Note: Medical Squad members will not enter any premise with a Coronavirus positive patient present. Hospital beds and Oxygen tanks will be left outside the residence. Patients will be responsible for set-up.
