On September 1, 2023, the results of the DEA’s Bronx Welfare Officer election were tabulated. Ballots were electronically mailed to 666 eligible voters, and 566 ballots were returned, or 85%.
559 votes were tallied with seven (7) abstentions.
Det. Carlos Lozada, the Delegate from Bronx Narcotics/Bronx Violent Crimes Squad, was elected with 332 votes, or 59.39%. We thank Det. Second Grade Cristina Reyes, Delegate from the 45 Squad, who received 227 votes, or 40.61%.
