Because of the retirement of Brooklyn North Welfare Officer David Lambert on February 28, 2025, there was an area election. The DEA thanks the Brooklyn North candidates: Det. First Grade Marisol Bonilla from the 90 Squad and Det. Second Grade Paul Ortiz from Brooklyn North Narcotics. The election results were tallied on Friday, March 14, 2025, and Marisol Bonilla is the new Welfare Officer.
