FEMA — the Federal Emergency Management Agency of the Department of Homeland Security — will be launching the FEMA Funeral Reimbursement Program in a matter of weeks.
FEMA will be reimbursing up to $7,000 for COVID-19-related funerals incurred after January of 2020. Please keep funeral documentation, because you might qualify for this reimbursement if your loved one died from the coronavirus.
