Detective Nicholas Anastasakos, of the Information Technology Bureau, and two Lieutenants — Charles Trento of ITB and Emmanuel Kwo from Employee Relations — are planning and preparing to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania this coming July 2019 to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of New York. Mt. Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.
100% of everything raised by “Finest Trekking” will go directly to the Ronald McDonald House of NY. Donations are tax deductible and the charity has set up a webpage about the trek:
