We have been advised that the Police Department is in the process of issuing determinations on all requests for “reasonable accommodations” regarding religious and medical exemptions for its Vaccine Mandate.
All employees whose request for a reasonable accommodation to be exempt from the COVID vaccine has been denied must utilize the NYPD appeal submission form available on the Department Intranet at … https://webapps.nypd.org/RAAppeals
… using a Department workstation or Department mobile phone and indicate an intent to file an appeal or not within seven (7) calendar days of the date of such determination.
Employees who do not have access to a Department workstation or mobile phone may appear in person at the EEOD at 375 Pearl Street, 15th floor, Suite 4, New York, NY 10038, and will be provided access to a Department workstation.
Members who do file an appeal will still continue to work through the appeal process and will be subject to regular COVID testing. Employees who choose not to appeal will be placed on Leave Without Pay status pending separation from the Department.
