Re: Carlyle M. Watson, SBI #000453845B
Dear Ms. Miller and the Members of the New Jersey Parole Board:
I understand that inmate Carlyle M. Watson, SBI #000453845B will be seeking parole this June 2025.
I request that Watson’s parole application be denied.
Watson is serving time at East Jersey State Prison, a maximum security facility, for the horrific January 14, 1988 attempted kidnapping and homicide of Mrs. Ann Valle. Mrs. Valle was a hardworking wife and mother who was a night manager at Sears Roebuck Department Store in Bergenfield, New Jersey.
Watson and a cohort, Donald Henry, followed Mrs. Valle home in a twisted plot to force her to return to the store and open a safe. When Mrs. Valle resisted their attempts to kidnap her, these depraved miscreants shot her in the head in front of her home where she lived with her husband and four children.
Mrs. Valle died from her wounds, and her husband — a decorated NYPD — raised their children alone for the next ten years. He, too, died from the pain and suffering the family endured after the despicable crime that took the life of his wife.
As far as I am concerned, Carlyle Watson lost his right to freedom the day he murdered, in cold blood, a 52-year-old woman in front of her home just to steal money from her employer. I urge the Parole Division of the State of New Jersey to deny the parole petition of this ruthless, remorseless killer. I believe Watson belongs in prison for life. Thank you for considering my position.
Sincerely,
