Daughter of Detective Suffered Terrible Fire Loss

Daughter of Detective Suffered Terrible Fire Loss

The daughter (Natasha) and son-in-law (Jaxon) of Det. Tatiana Atamansky Mercado (who retired out of Patrol Borough Bronx Anti-Crime Unit in 2012) lost everything they owned in a devastating fire that destroyed their condo in Elmsford, New York. Investigators still have not determined the cause of the fire: whether it was an electrical fire that started on the top of the building, or a gas leak in the building that ignited. However, it has been overwhelming for the family. A “Go Fund Me” page has been established to help Jaxon and Natasha start over again. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Additionally, the couple is looking for a new place to rent. Natasha has a service dog (an English Bulldog). They prefer to rent somewhere in the lower Westchester area, (Irvington, Elmsford, Dobbs Ferry, etc.). If you know a location available for rent, please call Sam Katz at the DEA at (212) 587-1000.
