Jeffery A. (Jeff) Ward joined the Department in 1986. He was promoted to Detective in 1995. He was elected to his first union position as the Delegate from Staten Island Narcotics in 1997. He was elected Staten Island Welfare Officer in 1999, and Staten Island Trustee in 2001. He was appointed as the Borough Director, Brooklyn/Queens/Staten Island in 2018. In 2020, Jeffrey became the DEA Treasurer, and, in 2023, Jeffrey was appointed the union Secretary. He was assigned to the Staten Island District Attorney’s Office before becoming a fully-released union Officer in 2020. Jeffery has fought for our members’ rights and cared for numerous line-of-duty families. He continues to represent the union with the Pension Board.
