Ryan Johnston was appointed to the force in 2008. He was promoted to Detective in 2015. In 2017, Ryan was elected Delegate for the 10 Squad, to which he is still assigned. He was elected as the DEA Welfare Officer for Manhattan South in 2021. In 2025 Ryan was moved to the position of Manhattan South Trustee. Ryan has handled numerous hearings, trials, and IAB investigations involving our members. He is serving as an alternating fully-released union Board Officer with Manhattan North Trustee Richard Baboolal. They both continue to represent our members with dedication, honesty, and integrity.
