City of Hurst, Texas Needs Police

The City of Hurst Police Department, a Civil Service Department in Texas, is seeking a Police Officer. Applicants must pre-register for the Police Officer Entrance Examination and apply for the Police Officer position online at  www.hursttx.gov/openpositions

 

The application deadline is Thursday, September 24, 2019, 5:00 p.m.

 

The written exam date is Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.

 

Minimum Qualifications are as follows: a United States Citizen; at least age 21 at time of testing; a person who is 45 years of age or older may not be certified for a beginning position in the Police Department; high school diploma or GED, and completion of 60 hours from an accredited school, college or university with a grade point average of 2.0 or better; vision correctable to 20/20 — no color blindness; normal hearing; must be licensable by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement; must have a good moral character; have a stable employment history; have a valid Texas Driver’s License (or able to obtain one).

 

Must be able to pass the physical assessment test, written examination, psychological examination, medical examination with drug screen, background investigation, oral interview, polygraph test, and typing test.

 

Starting Annual Salary is $72,925 increasing to $79,850 at completion of probationary period.
