The DEA regrets to announce the death of retired Det. Richard Teemsma. He was appointed to the force on January 26, 1982, and promoted to Detective on February 25, 1994. Det. Teemsma retired out of the Bomb Squad on January 25, 2002. He passed away on June 22, 2024, and his death is pending official 9/11 line of duty status.
