The City’s Office of Management and Budget is complaining about finalization delays by the Police Pension Fund. Currently, members are not being finalized until their 24th month, and in some cases longer. Here’s the backstory: The Police Pension Fund is preparing a $55 million upgrade to its computer software system so that members will be able to go online to check their pension accounts. The new system was expected to go live in July of 2019, but has been delayed while the Department irons out technical kinks. The next status update will be in March of 2020.
