The DEA has been working with NYPD Labor Relations to resolve the issue of the 2020 W-2 forms for members who tested positive for COVID-19 and their “Line of Duty” designation. We have been assured that the Medical Division is working to resolve the issue by designating the Detectives’ Line of Duty status as quickly as possible. Payroll has assured us that they will adjust the W-2 forms as directed by the Medical Division. The DEA will stay on top of this issue until it is resolved.
