Narcotics Arbitration

On August 2, 2016, the DEA went into arbitration with the NYPD over the length of the tours performed by members assigned to the Applicant Processing Division and those assigned to administrative duties in the Narcotics Division.At the commencement of the arbitration, the Department agreed with the DEA that Detectives performing administrative assignments in the Narcotics Division (with the exception of those on limited or restricted duty)will perform tours of 8:33, which will commence immediately.
