In the summer of 2019, the Town of Oyster Bay, New York will begin construction of a monument called “9/11 Walls of Honor” to the east of the current 9/11 Monument at the Town of Oyster Bay Beach. This new addition will honor those who have suffered and passed away in the line of duty, because of the residual effects of the toxicity of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. Each year, the Town will inscribe into the new walls the names of those lost to 9/11-related cancers and illnesses.
