We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Detective Robert Cardona – another hero taken too soon by the invisible bullet of COVID-19. Robert will always be remembered as one of “The Greatest Detectives in the World.”
Please keep our brother Robert and his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. The DEA will forever stand by his family. Robert joined the NYPD in July 2001 and was assigned to the 13 Precinct Detective Squad. A truly dedicated DEA delegate, he cared deeply for our union, his fellow Detectives – and every one of his brothers and sisters in blue.
Rest In Peace, Detective. We will never forget.
