NYPD Police Officer Felix Rodriguez passed away of cancer on September 24, 2024. Felix started his career in public service to New York City as a teenager when he became an Explorer for the NYPD. A short time after, he became a Police Cadet, where he was activated and sent to the World Trade Center during 9/11. It was there he found his true calling to help others and serve the City where he was born and raised. In 2011, he became a Peace Officer with Department of Homeless Services Police where he was able to assist the homeless. He then pursued his true calling and dream when he was sworn in as a Police Officer with the NYPD in January of 2013. He was proudly serving the communities of the 43rd Precinct in The Bronx when he was stricken with cancer. He dedicated his life to public service and did it all with a smile on his face.
Felix leaves behind his wife, his four-year-old son, his mother and other family members. His colleagues and friends set up this Fund the First campaign to help his family at this very difficult time of loss. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
