10-13 for Retired Det. Juan Fernandez, Intel Division , Former USMC

Fundraiser for Lillian Fernandez by Brian McLaughlin : Support Juan, Father, Marine , First Responder NYPD Det.

Retired NYPD Detective Juan Fernandez was defined by his decades of service. Diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, there will be a fundraiser for his family, which was at the heart of Juan’s life. He is a devoted husband to Lily, and a proud, loving father to Sydney, Samantha, and Jessica. To them — and to all — Juan was not only a protector, but a source of wisdom, humor, strength, and love. His dedication to others always extended far beyond the badge.

Juan’s journey in service began in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he earned the Naval Achievement Medal and the Meritorious Unit Citation, among other honors. He carried that same sense of duty and integrity into his 20+ years with the New York Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Detective 2nd Grade.

Juan served in multiple demanding and high-profile units, including the 41st Precinct, Bronx Narcotics, and the Intelligence Bureau’s Threat Assessment Protection Unit, where he helped protect New York City’s leaders and international dignitaries. Juan was a 9/11 first responder, having answered the call in the hours and days following the attacks. He took part in the rescue and recovery efforts at Ground Zero, standing with his fellow Officers and first responders in the face of unimaginable loss.

Even after retiring from the NYPD, Juan continued to protect others on a global scale. As Director of Corporate Security at Endeavor Holdings LLC / TKO — the powerhouse behind the UFC, WWE, IMG, and more — he led international security operations, safeguarded high-profile talent, and coordinated with law enforcement across borders.

The fundraiser that was originally for Juan as he battled cancer is now for his family. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
