On Friday, August 22, 2025, while trying to thwart a car-jacking in Queens, Det. Corey B. Fisher of Queens South Narcotics and Vice suffered two gunshot wounds. Corey is the DEA Alternate Delegate for his unit. He was hit by responding “friendly fire” when a 28-year-old career criminal on parole for robbery attempted multiple times to carjack various vehicles, causing a car crash in the process.
On Monday, August 25, 2025, Det. Fisher was wheeled out of Jamaica Hospital, but he has a significant recovery ahead of him as he heals from serious wounds to his arm and leg. Click on the link below to contribute to the Fund the First campaign set up to assist Corey and his family at this stressful time. Corey and his spouse have a three-year-old son and are expecting another child. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
