Help the Family of Retired Det. Brian Carey

Det. Brian G. Carey, who retired out of the Bronx Special Victims Squad in 2009, recently lost his youngest son, 25-year-old Brian T. Carey, who was out of state at the time of his death. Brian, Jr. left behind his parents, his brothers, and his wife, whose only consolation is that young Brian was able to save eight lives through organ donation. However, the family has now been met with unexpected costs associated with bringing Brian’s body back home to New York State. A fundraiser was set up online in Brian, Jr.’s memory.
