DEA Weighs In On Harlem Arrest Incident

DEA President Paul DiGiacomo released two statements to the media over the incident where one of our Detectives had to pry off an attacker during an arrest in Harlem.

“Criminals in New York have grown accustomed to there being no consequences for their dangerous, illegal actions — but when you assault a New York City Detective in order to interfere with an arrest of a man armed with a gun, there are repercussions. As the DEA explores a possible civil suit on behalf of our dedicated member against the woman who attacked him, we urge politicians to open their eyes and see the public safety disaster they’ve created. As for Al Sharpton’s insane comments, he should be worried about the thousands of actual crime victims in this city and not the limelight and lining of his pockets.”

“Once again Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has shown his true colors as a pro-criminal politician by reducing the charges on the woman who assaulted a New York City Detective while he was arresting a man who was armed with a ghost gun. Released, back home, and now even more emboldened, this woman could have grabbed the illegal firearm or have helped the man use it against police. The politicians say they want a safer city, but turn their backs on the dedicated, courageous men and women in blue who are here for New Yorkers.”
