Our brothers and sisters in the Essex, New Jersey Police Department have been working without raises for seven years, working with antiquated equipment, and depleted staffing. The County Executives have defunded their Police Department and crime in Essex County is the highest in New Jersey. The DEA recently sent a letter to County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. about the deplorable conditions the Essex Police are laboring under.
