Corporate headquarters of a famous luxury goods company is seeking a full time National Security Manager based in New York City to oversee the physical security of its people, facilities, and high-value assets across multiple U.S. offices and corporate locations.
Overview
The firm seeks a retired leader from a major urban police department (NYPD) who has an active gun carry license and successfully transitioned into a corporate or enterprise security environment. The position requires a strong on-site presence in a traditional corporate setting and provides visibility across executive leadership, real estate operations, legal, and external law-enforcement partners.
Key responsibilities include the following: Lead and oversee physical security operations across multiple corporate facilities and national events; Manage and develop full-time security staff and third-party contract security teams; Ensure the effectiveness of access control systems, video surveillance platforms, and biometric/vault security; Partner closely with Legal, Real Estate Operations, vendors, and law enforcement; Conduct investigations, incident response, and executive or corporate event security; Develop, implement, and enforce security SOPs, policies, and emergency action plans; Ensure employee education around safety, workplace violence prevention, and emergency protocols; Operate with discretion, sound judgment, and calm under pressure in high-stakes situations.
Requirements
Retired from a major urban police department (e.g., NYPD, LAPD, Chicago PD, retired FBI etc.) with 10+ years of law enforcement experience. Must have an Active / Current license to carry a firearm. Must have post-retirement corporate or enterprise security experience
Retail Experience is a plus. Should have proven experience managing people and security vendors. Have a strong knowledge of access control systems, video surveillance platforms, incident command and investigations, and emergency response and crisis management.
