There will be a street renaming in honor of Det. Richard D. Arundell on Saturday, October 19, 2024, beginning at 12:00 noon, at the intersection of Woodhaven Boulevard and 62 Road in Rego Park, Queens, NY 11374. Det. Arundell was killed in the line of duty on February 9, 1963. The event is sponsored by City Councilmember Robert Holden, the Newtown Historical Society, and the Juniper Park Civic Association.
