DEA President Paul DiGiacomo was interviewed by WPIX News 11 early on the morning of December 4, 2020, regarding the shooting in The Bronx. It has since been determined that our wounded Detective was not shot, but suffered other physical injury during the melee that resulted in two United States Marshals being hit by a perpetrator’s gunfire. The perpetrator, Andrew K. Sterling, a fugitive wanted for shooting a Massachusetts State Trooper, was declared DOA.
