On March 15, 2021, the five NYPD uniformed unions — the DEA, PBA, SBA, LBA and CEA — held a press conference directed at NYS legislators and NYC Council members to drive home the point that their police and bail reform laws are not working. Joining law enforcement to discuss the rise in random violence and shootings were parents of crime victims: Nadine Mckenzie, mother of slain teenager Shamoya Mckenzie; Eve Hendryx, mother of murdered teen Brandon Hendricks; and Randolph Holder, Sr., father of slain Det. Randolph Holder, Jr.
