An amendment has been proposed to the DEA’s Constitution & By Laws (Article VIII, Section 1, Subsection (a) — Collective Bargaining Committee) that will allow for the use of modern technology, such as electronic ballots and/or email ballots. The Resolutions Committee members (Detectives Nick Arhakos, DeeDeeFields, Ronald Luparello, Alistair Bascom, Marcela Vlack, Anthony Galasso, Christopher Brower, Kush Greene, and Abe Arteaga) voted to take the amendment to a full Delegate body vote, as per the Constitution and By-Laws. The Delegate body overwhelmingly approved the amendment on May 25, 2022.
