The Detectives’ Endowment Association, Inc. is deeply saddened to announce the death of Active Detective Jack V. Polimeni — our brother in blue taken too soon by COVID-19. A 23-year veteran, he joined the NYPD in April of 1997, and was currently assigned to the NYPD’s Manhattan Warrant Squad. Jack’s dedication to every New Yorker exemplified what it means to be one of the “The Greatest Detectives in the World.” We will never forget his legacy of service and sacrifice. His wife and family will always be in our hearts and prayers, and the DEA will forever be here to support them. Rest In Peace, Detective.
