On April 1st, 2019, the jury, after a short deliberation, returned a guilty verdict on the Karina Vetrano murder trial. On Tuesday, April 22, 2019, Lewis was sentenced to life in prison without parole. DEA President Michael Palladino and Sergeant of Arms Scott Munro attended the trial to support the Detectives involved in the investigation. Following the arrest of Mr Lewis, Karina’s mother Cathy Vetrano addressed the DEA Delegate body in April of 2018 to thank Detectives and the NYPD for finding and arresting her daughter’s killer.
