We currently have bills in Albany to rectify the inequity of Tier 2A and thus allow members who fall under that Tier to base their pension on the average of their three highest-earning years. Our bill is sponsored by retired Detective and current Assemblyman Kwani B. O’Pharrow (D, Assembly District 11) and State Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton (D, Senate District 23). Know More About Retiree Dues:
To remain a member “in good standing” and to become a lifetime member with the DEA; you must have your dues paid in full, from your retirement date up until the year you turn 65 years of age.
