Julia Sabangan, the wife of Det. Andrew Miles of Intel / Riker’s Fusion Center, is facing her third fight with cancer. Julia is a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, teacher, and friend who always faced life with bravery, passion, and a generous heart.
Eleven years ago, Julia survived a bout with leukemia, and she is now diagnosed with stage four metastatic lung cancer. Originally found in her esophagus, this cancer has spread to her lungs and other parts of her body, but she is still fighting hard to be there for her husband and their five-year-old daughter, Mariella.
Julia’s family and friends have started a “GoFundMe” campaign to help offset the costs of medical bills and help with the care of their young daughter. There are medical co-pays and alternative treatments not covered by insurance, and there are transportation needs for trips to appointments and treatments.
But, with assistance, Julia will be able to focus fully on the battle she now faces, which she intends to fight with every ounce of strength she has.
