A “Go Fund Me” fundraiser has been established for the funeral expenses for retired Det. Mark Woods. The family was not prepared for his sudden death. They are still determining what caused it.
The 54-year-old was a Clarkstown Council member, an NYPD Detective who retired out of the Joint Terrorism Taskforce in 2017, and a U.S. Army combat veteran. He was also the director of the Joseph P. Dwyer Peer to Peer support program at BRIDGES, Rockland County’s independent living center. Woods previously worked as an Immigration and Naturalization Service special agent and was also a licensed funeral director.
You can read more about his public service at the following link. Anything you can contribute to his grieving family will be greatly appreciated.
