Help Fellow Detective Michael Marra Who Is Battling Cancer

Active Det. Michael Marra of the Latent Print Section was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. The road ahead is going to be incredibly grueling. His treatment plan includes four months of aggressive, high-intensity chemotherapy, followed by radiation and major surgery. Because of this intense medical battle, Michael will be unable to work. Beyond being a dedicated Detective, Michael is a husband and a father to four beautiful children.

A “Fund the First” page has been set up to help the family in their time of need and stress. As Michael fights his physical battle, the bills will keep on coming. His NYPD family wants to ensure that finances are the last thing on his mind. Every dollar raised will go directly toward medical co-pays, deductibles, and specialized exams, as well as daily living expenses and supporting his wife and four kids during this incredibly stressful transition.
