The family of Det. Jose Acevedo suffered the unexpected passing of their 15-year-old child Wilmer. Wilmer was a terrific student and a law enforcement Explorer who aspired to a career in Jose’s footsteps. He was also a critical family helper to his mother and two younger siblings. Friends and family wishing to honor his memory have established a Fund the First campaign for any future expenses and ways they may wish to honor Wilmer’s life and memory.
