The DEA held a press conference on April 20, 2021, to announce that the union backed a civil lawsuit filed by one of our Detectives against a subject, Terrell Harper, who obscenely harassed and verbally assaulted an Asian-American member of the DEA, Det. Vincent Cheung of the 5th Precinct, when he was on a detail on March 11, 2021. The incident was covered by the New York Post, WNBC-TV News 4, and other media outlets. The DEA created a wanted poster to make this incident known, and we’re planning a YouTube video to get the full footage to the public to show that hate crimes are also perpetrated against members of the NYPD.
