The DEA regrets to announce the passing of retired Det. Dennis Vitelli on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the age of 63. Vitelli joined the force on January 21, 1985. He was promoted to Detective on October 27, 1995. He retired out of the Joint Terrorist Task Force on June 1, 2006. His death is pending 9/11 line of duty status. He is survived by his loving family, friends, and colleagues, and will be deeply missed.
