Gregory W. Silverman is the DEA Staten Island Trustee, a position to which he was elected in May of 2018. He is also the DEA Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Greg was appointed to the Department in April of 1990, and promoted to Detective in July 1998. In December 2003, while working in the Auto Crime Division, Greg was elected DEA Delegate. In 2007, he transferred to the Staten Island Special Victims Squad, which is still his current assignment. He was elected the DEA’s Staten Island Welfare Officer in April 2006. Greg has handled numerous IAB and other hearings for our members, including incidents with member-involved shootings and allegations of Detective misconduct. He continues to represent members with dedication, honesty, and integrity.
