The five New York City Pension Funds have hired the law firm of Ice Miller, LLP to assist all five Funds on the pension taxation issue with respect to distributions of post-tax member contributions. An opinion on this issue is still pending.
Please note: You are eligible to become a lifetime member at the age of 65 if you have no outstanding dues
Know More About Retiree Dues:
To remain a member “in good standing” and to become a lifetime member with the DEA; you must have your dues paid in full, from your retirement date up until the year you turn 65 years of age.
