Det. Melissa Mezzoiuso of the 115 Squad has a one-year-old baby Antonio who is battling heart issues. Antonio was last admitted to the hospital on Jan 9, 2023, where he was given a cardiac catheterization. Antonio had another surgery called diaphragm fenestration. Unfortunately, this surgery was not successful and he was sent home on Feb 1, 2023. He is on eight different medications, two or three times per day. This month, Antonio and his mother are headed to a specialist in Philadelphia to see if they can figure out where his heart leakage is coming from. A “Go Fund Me” campaign has been set up to assist Det. Mezzoiuso with the added expenses associated with traveling for her son’s special care and needs.
