On Saturday, February 4, 2023, Police Officer Adeed Fayaz of the 66 Precinct was shot in the head when he responded off-duty to an advertisement about a car for sale. The seller turned out to be a perpetrator planning to rob him. On February 7th, Officer Fayaz succumbed to his wounds. He was only 26 years old, had a wife and two very young children, ages three and four. This horrific crime has left his family, friends, and colleagues devastated by Adeed’s sudden, senseless death. The perpetrator is now in custody, but the family will be forever grieving. The NYPD Muslim Society and NYPD Pakistani Law Enforcement Officer’s Association have asked us to share this official fundraiser for the Fayaz family.
